The oldest of the Gilman daughters, Brooke has become something of a local sports celebrity as the star scorer for the local team, the Dandie Dinmonts. She is cheerful, outgoing, and generous, sometimes to a fault. Her relationship with her father, Johnstone, has been strained since the death of her mother, Laurie Lee.
