Gabbro is a Hearthian, the native sentient species of the planet Timber Hearth, and an astronaut from Outer Wilds Ventures.
By the time the player meets them, they have set up camp on an island on Giant's Deep where they have been unearthing ancient Nomai Statues. Gabbro does not seem particularly concerned about all the extraordinary events occurring around them while they lie on a hammock and play their flute.
