Happy Meek is the only named Uma Musume to not be based off an existing real-life racehorse, but was created originally for the game. Even though she is technically being raised by the player's rival trainer, Happy Meek herself is surprisingly laid back and aloof, even open to accepting advice from the player to perform better under Aoi. There are no current plans to make her playable in future updates of Pretty Derby, though she is playable in Party Dash, becoming unlocked if you reach at least 50,000 Fans. In February 2020, a newly-foaled horse was given the name Happy Meek and reportedly started racing two years later, suggesting the horse's name came from the game character, and not the other way around like other Uma Musume.
