Although not related to either, she acts as a mother-figure to Ryo Hazuki (Character) and Masayuki Fukuhara (Character) and attempts to be a stabilising influence to both, particularly after the murder of Iwao Hazuki. Ine-san performs household chores in the Hazuki residence, such as cooking and cleaning, and provides Ryo with his daily allowance. She desperately tries to convince Ryo not to pursue revenge for his father's murder, but ultimately fails. She remains at the Hazuki residence when Ryo leaves Japan to pursue Lan Di (Character).
