CHARACTER

Irelia is a melee Champion in game League of Legends.

Story

Irelia is one of two children of Master Lito, a man who developed his own form of martial arts. His teachings were a highly guarded secret, though it was said that swords would breathe in his grasp. When he died of a mysterious illness Zelos, Irelia's brother, become a sergeant in the Ionian military. Prior to Noxus' invasion of Ionia Zelos left to seek aid from Demacia and charged Irelia with defending their home. The Noxian forces struck before Zelos had returned. The Ionian army was being defeated and preparing to surrender at Placidium. However, Irelia spurred a final stand when she took on her father's blade and pledged to hold until her brother returned. She was cursed by powerful necromancy, but saved by Soraka. When Irelia recovered, her father's blade lifted into the air beside her. Seeing this, Irelia rushed into combat as the blade effortlessly cut down the Noxians. Irelia moved to the fields of justice to keep defending her homeland.
