Victor, also known as Dr. Victor by fans, is loosely based on that of Mary Shelly's eponymous protagonist of the 1818 novel Frankenstein. He is a recurring character in Atlus's Devil Summoner (Franchise) series as the proprietor of the Goumaden (Location). He aids the protagonists of the series by providing demon fusion services, similar in nature to the priest of Shin Megami Tensei's Cathedral of Shadows (Location) and Igor (Character) of the Persona (Franchise) series. Victor's appearance differs depending on the game he appears in. In Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers, for instance, he bears the appearance of a ship's captain, as the Goumaden is located on board a luxury liner. In the Raidou Kuzunoha (Character) entries, he bears the appearance of a more standard mad scientist.
