Witness to her tribe’s destruction at the hands of PSI, Yakecan, along with her brother Akahando, had to fend for herself from an early age. A healer, like all native women, she joined a group of medics on the front line, healing anyone in need. Yet tragedy struck again when her sister healers were wiped out in a PSI ambush. Resolving never to be caught defenceless again, Yakecan broke the healers’ code and took up weapons, joining the Peacemakers to fight PSI directly.
