The brothers have stated in multiple interviews that they and the other co-owners left Barking Dog Studios soon after being purchased by Rockstar Games (Company) and renamed Rockstar Vancouver (Company). The Ironclad team has also stated that they left to make games they were passionate about, specifically space strategy games like Homeworld: Cataclysm.
