Overview

Mutech was founded in 1986 by Yoshihiro Itami and would go on to provide programming support for a number of PC Engine (TurboGrafx-16) games, as well as those for the PC Engine CD-ROM (TurboGrafx-CD). They worked frequently with Hudson, contributing to games such as Bonk's Revenge and Battle Lode Runner (Game). The name reflected the fact that it was a small and unassuming company, as mu (or μ) is a symbol used as a metric prefix to denote very small quantities.
