Editions
Editions have been held in 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and a 2013 edition is also planed. In 2012 Blizzard decided not to hold a BlizzCon due to their heavy schedule of releases in 2012.
Major Announcements
All World of Warcarft expansions were announced at BlizzCon. Other announcements include Diablo 3 classes and the decision to release StarCraft II as a trilogy, with each installment focusing on each of the main races portrayed in the series.
Goodie Bag
The goodie bag has been a recurrent gift by Blizzard to ticket holders throughout BlizzCon's history, with the introduction of online streams in addtion to live attendance, virtual tickets have also included virtual gifts.
