Boyons are a species of spherical, jelly-like creatures that appear in Super Metroid.

Overview
Boyons are yellow in appearance and are usually found stuck in the cracks between platforms. They will remain stationary until approached by Samus. When approached, they will begin to bounce up and down in an attempt to prevent Samus from passing. They can be frozen with the Ice Beam (Object), and can only be defeated with Super Missiles and Power Bombs.
