The Purple Dragons were originally a small-time street gang appearing in the first issue of the original Mirage Comics run. Having cornered the turtles in a dark alley, they were quickly given a savage beating and never seen again. In the 2003 cartoon and other series, they are given a much larger role as enforcers and collaborators for the Foot Clan and lead around by a large, powerful man named Hun (Character).
