When Burmy (Concept) evolves, depending on the cloak it was wearing in its last battle that will be the cloak it will have as Wormadam, a plant cloak will give the secondary type Grass, sandy cloak will have Ground type and Trash cloak will be Steel. Only female Burmy (Concept) evolve to Wormadam.

Evolutionary Line

Wormadam is the evolved form of a female Burmy, starting at level 20, males evolve to a Mothim (Concept).

Diamond: When Burmy evolved, its cloak became a part of this Pokemon's body. The cloak is never shed.

Pearl: Its appearance changes depending on where it evolved. The materials on hand become a part of its body.

Platinum: When evolving, its body takes in surrounding materials. As a result, there are many body variations.

HeartGold/SoulSilver: It is said that a Wormadam that evolves in a cold day will have a thicker cloak.
