A sextet of RPGs from Yanoman and Japan Art Media. The initial three were released on the Game Boy between 1990-92 and the final three for the Super Famicom between 1993-95.

Overview
Aretha is a fantasy RPG series from JAM (Japan Art Media (Company)) and Yanoman. The series began as a trio of Game Boy RPGs: Aretha, Aretha II and Aretha III (Game). The year after the last Aretha a new canon began on the Super Famicom which featured the wizard Ariel. The Ariel games included 1993's Aretha: The Super Famicom and 1994's Aretha II: Ariel no Fushigi na Tabi. A spin-off/gaiden SFC game named Rejoice: Aretha Oukoku no Kanata was released in 1995 and is presently the final game in the series.
