Gameplay
Aliens: Thanatos Encounter is played from a top down perspective. The player can shoot in eight different directions by pressing the desired direction and the A button. If the A button is held down the player will continuously shoot in the same direction allowing the player to then strafe. Before each mission a briefing screen is given explaining the mission objectives. Some missions in the game must be completed within a set time limit while others are an unlimited amount of time.
