Blade Arcus from Shining, stylized as BLADE ARCUS from Shining, is a 2D fantasy fighting game developed by Studio Saizensen (Company) and released by Sega (Company) for arcades (for their PC (Platform)-based RingEdge 2 hardware, digitally distributed via ALL.Net P-ras MULTI Ver. 2) in Japan on November 5, 2014. It is a fighting game spin-off of Sega's long-running Shining (Franchise) series of RPGs, featuring characters from the 2012 game Shining Blade (Game) and the developer's 2010 game Shining Hearts (Game). It includes a two-on-two tag-team system similar to Capcom's 1997 fighting game Rival Schools, and uses 3D models with limited animation (for the illusion of hand-drawn 2D). It later received a home conversion for the PlayStation 4 (Platform) and PlayStation 3 (Platform) on November 26, 2015, under the title Blade Arcus from Shining EX, and later received a worldwide digital release for the PC (Platform) on July 28, 2016 as Blade Arcus from Shining: Battle Arena. It also received a sequel in 2019, known as Blade Arcus Rebellion from Shining (Game).
All characters are from Shining Blade (Game) and/or Shining Hearts (Game) unless otherwise noted.
