Boomer's Adventure in ASMIK World, known in Japan as Teketeke! Asmik-kun World, is a top-down action-puzzle game developed and published by Asmik for the Game Boy (Platform) in Japan on December 27, 1989, with a North American release (by Asmik Corporation of America) on April 1990. The first game to star Asmik's pink cartoon dinosaur mascot (known as "Boomer" in North America and "Asmik-kun" in Japan), ASMIK World has players guiding Boomer through mazes to unlock the exit while dealing with enemies. The game's main gimmick is that Boomer digs holes throughout the level to search for keys, weapons, and other items, and can trap enemies similar to the 1979 arcade game Heiankyo Alien (Game). The game later received a Japan-only sequel, known as Asmik-kun World 2, with a very different gameplay premise. Asmik-kun also stars in his own console platformer for the Famicom, known as Asmik-kun Land.
