Crash 'n Burn, also known as Crash'n Burn and not to be confused with the 2004 game of the same name, is a sci-fi post-apocalyptic combat racing game developed and published by Crystal Dynamics (Company) for the 3DO (Platform) in North America on October 4, 1993 and in Japan on March 26, 1994.
The sole launch title for the system, as well as the pack-in game for the North Ameircan FZ-1 release and the first game from Crystal Dynamics, Crash 'n Burn is a combat racing game where six racers compete in order to be the Deathdrome champion in the dark future of the year 2044.
The game includes two modes to choose from, both of which are single-player only:
Each race consists of six cars, each with their own designated driver (shown as live-action full-motion video) and stats:
| Car | Speed | Acceleration | Armor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hammerhead | 270 | Awesome | Great |
| Vortex | 310 | Poor | Poor |
| Caretaker | 300 | Fair | Good |
| Assassin | 320 | Poor | Poor |
| Sniper | 295 | Good | Fair |
| Flatliner | 290 | Great | Good |
Each Circuit has five tracks each, for a total of 30 races.
