Crash 'n Burn, also known as Crash'n Burn and not to be confused with the 2004 game of the same name, is a sci-fi post-apocalyptic combat racing game developed and published by Crystal Dynamics (Company) for the 3DO (Platform) in North America on October 4, 1993 and in Japan on March 26, 1994.

The sole launch title for the system, as well as the pack-in game for the North Ameircan FZ-1 release and the first game from Crystal Dynamics, Crash 'n Burn is a combat racing game where six racers compete in order to be the Deathdrome champion in the dark future of the year 2044.

Gameplay

The game includes two modes to choose from, both of which are single-player only:

  • Rally tasks players with clearing through each of the five tracks in any chosen Circuit (with the sixth and final Circuit unlockable by winning the others in first place). There is no vehicle upgrade system in this mode.
  • Tournament progresses through all 30 tracks in order, with players earning money for weapons, armor, and other upgrades based on their performance (including placement and kills, with Champion kills awarding double).
