Overview

A rapidly-growing monstrous organism has broken out of containment. In this intense action-packed twin-stick roguelike shooter, inspired by 80s horror movies, players must survive long enough to find their way out. Using the weapons and items available, and putting each character's abilities to the test, players can attempt to escape before the viral creature spreads out of control leaving no way out. In a desperate bid to solve the world's food crisis, scientists at Protagenics are running radical gene-editing experiments. However, an unknown event has unleashed an unimaginable horror—a virally spreading mass that evolves rapidly and consumes everything in its path. As the chaos unfolds, players must navigate the labyrinthine lab, uncover the truth behind the experiment, and find a way to stop the monstrous abomination. As the creature evolves, strategies will change. Exploiting its weaknesses, slicing through its tentacles, and targeting its vulnerable spots will help players get to the next room. Discovering the hidden truths behind the experiment, and uncovering the real motivations of the characters, players embark on a thrilling journey of survival, and face the terrifying consequences of playing God.

Characters

At the start of the game there are 5 characters available. Each with their own unique abilities and weapons. 7 more characters are available for unlock after completing the challenges associated.

The Lab

The lab hosts a number of floors and buildings, dedicated to Research, Containment, Security, Storage, Diagnostics, among others. Each presenting different challenges to overcome. Each floor is procedurally generated making every run unique. Choosing the right path through the building and then adapting to the incoming threats is key to surviving long enough to escape.
