ENA: Dream BBQ
An episodic surreal exploration game from animator Joel G, based on his ENA series of online cartoons.
ENA: Dream BBQ is a planned episodic exploration game and a loose continuation of a series of shorts released on Youtube and Newgrounds, all written and animated by Joel Guerra. The series is a surrealist adventure inspired by Peruvian and Japanese art and animation. The game was developed within the Unity game engine. Chapter 1 was released on Steam for free. As of July 2025, no release date for Chapter 2 has been confirmed. ENA: Dream BBQ (Chapter I) has players take the point of view of the titular character, ENA, as she attempts to talk to The Boss. However, her friend/coworker, a monochromatic frog-person who speaks in Japanese, can't cross the river to meet The Boss without getting rid of smoke being generated by a mysterious genie. ENA's journey to find the source of the smoke leads her through a strange dreamland, doing quests for various characters, and looking for The Bathroom, all to open the Lonely Door.
