This quirky top-down shooter offers one or two players the choice of a Japanese character that wields a fan or a French character that shoots flowers. It was only released in Japan until a contemporary, translated port 30 years later.

Overview

Feudal Bros: Tonosama #1 (Deae Tonosama Appare Ichiban "Meet Tonosama! Bravo! Number One!" in Japan) is a top-down shooter/brawler game published by SunSoft. The player moves across Japan (Location), and eventually the rest of the world and space, to fight alien invaders. It features two playable protagonists: Baka-dono ("Lord Stupid"), the useless scion of a daimyou; and Baka-ouji ("Prince Stupid"), an effeminate French noble who washed up on the coast of Japan. Both have been pressed into service by their deceased and ridiculously buffed fathers, and will transform to resemble them once powered up. Baka-dono is strong and slow and attacks with a fan, while Baka-ouji is fast and his weapons (thrown roses) have longer range. Two players can play simultaneously with a co-operative mode.
