Overview

GAMP is a vertical fixed shooter released by Mofoblitz for the Press Start to Play game jam on September 13, 2016. The goal of the game is to rack up as many points as possible by defeating endless waves of aliens which fall from the top of the screen.

Gameplay

GAMP's gameplay is fairly simple. The player controls a spaceship equipped with a laser cannon, which can move horizontally across the bottom of the screen, but is incapable of vertical movement. Various amounts of aliens advance toward the player in waves from the top of the screen, occasionally firing lasers. Occasionally, a red UFO moves across the top of the screen, which can be destroyed for extra points.

Development

Development of GAMP began on September 4, 2016, when Mofoblitz founder Tyler Pollard discovered the Press Start to Play game jam. Despite the deadline being in nine days, GAMP was successfully completed in time, and received second place.
