Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption is a spiritual successor to the famous Quest for Glory hybrid RPG/adventure game Franchise by the same husband-wife creative couple, Lori and Corey Cole (Person). Hero-U serves as a continuation of the School of Heroes,a now defunct web based text adventure game that the couple ran. The game is one of many successfully kickstarter funded projects featuring legendary game creators following in the wake of Double Fine Adventure's (later retitled Broken Age (Game)) surprising success on the crowdfunding platform. Hero-U would take the highly unusual step of launching a second successful kickstarter when development was rebooted midway through the project

Premise

The game follows the adventures of Shawn O'Conner, a young rogue who attends the Hero University. By day he attends classes and makes friends, at night he explores a mysterious catacombs beneath the school in search of fame and adventure. The game likewise fuses adventure game storytelling with turn based RPG combat.
