Itchy & Scratchy in Miniature Golf Madness, also known as The Simpsons: Itchy & Scratchy in Miniature Golf Madness, is a comical side-scrolling puzzle-platformer developed by Beam Software (Company) and published by Acclaim for the Game Boy (Platform) on November 1994. Based on the in-universe "The Itchy & Scratchy Show" cartoon from the animated sitcom The Simpsons (Franchise), Miniature Golf Madness puts players in the role of the cartoon cat Scratchy (Character) as he plays nine wacky rounds of miniature golf while being harassed by the cartoon rat Itchy (Character). While playing similar to a standard platformer of the era, it is unique for its objective of finding and putting a golf ball through the winding level to the hole, with a power meter to determine the distance and a limited shot counter. It also includes a variety of weapons that Scratchy can use to defend himself against Itchy, who is often using weapons of his own to attack. Acclaim later released a second game based on the show-within-a-show, with The Itchy andamp;amp;amp; Scratchy Game.
