To Heir is Human is the third title in Sierra-Online's King's Quest series. The story has moved away from King Graham and onto the adventures of Gwydion and follows his quest to return to Daventry.

Plot

In a distant land called Llewdor, Gwydion works as a slave for a wizard named Manannan. He was kidnapped by the wizard as a child, and has no memory of his former life. One day Gwydion decides to flee from Manannan's claws, and return to the land he came from, Daventry.

Criticism

Fans of the series complained that the story had no connection to the previous games. Ties to the other games were revealed at the end of the game.
