Once in development by what is now known as Rockstar Leeds (Company) (then called Mobius Entertainment), Necroscope was to be a survival horror game akin to the Silent Hill (Franchise) series, only with the added element of supernatural powers. Players would have been able to possess other characters and even monsters in order to solve the game's puzzles for example.

It was to be set in late '70s, early '80s London and originally featured very little combat. Although as development progressed it began to adopt more violent elements of gameplay.

Necroscope was cancelled (alongside their other project, Titanium Angels) upon Mobius Entertainment's buyout from Rockstar Games (Company) in 2004 so the studio could focus more on developing portable games for the company.
