Augmented reality puzzle game for PS Vita about opening trapped boxes.
Overview
Box! Open Me is an augmented reality puzzle game by Japan Studio and the PlayStation C.A.M.P. program for the PS Vita. It tasks the player with opening a trapped box, avoiding traps and activating mechanisms using the touchscreen. The game has boxes of differing levels of difficulty, from simple wooden chests to metal containers with high-tech security, and also a set of cooperative boxes which require two people, each with their own Vita, to open. It was released in Japan on December 20, 2012. On November 21st, 2012, a special preview edition of the game was released in Japan to promote the release of AKB1/149 Renai Sousenkyo on the Vita later that year. It allows the player to open a virtual copy of the game's limited edition packaging using a printout of the games cover art as an AR card.
