In the 27th century, convicts in a remote meteor colony play a brutal sport known as Rageball.

Overview

Rageball, also known in-game as Rageball: Unchained Prisoners, is an over-the-top sports game developed by NA.P.S. Team and published by Midas Games (as part of their budget Pocket Price series) for the PlayStation (Platform) in Europe on April 12, 2002, with a North American release by Agetec on July 25, 2002. Set in the year 2612, where Earth's worst convicts are exiled to the orbiting meteor IS-326 (or "The Hell"), the lawless colony forms a new violent sport known as "Rageball" and broadcasts it to massive audiences on Earth. Similar to games like the Speedball (Franchise) series, Rageball is a brutal 7-on-7 ball sport with no fouls. The game features multiplayer for up to four players (via multitap), as well as a single-player campaign mode where you manage your own team. It received a digital PSone Classics (Concept) re-release for PlayStation Network (Concept) consoles in Europe on June 2, 2011.
