Savage worlds is a generic role playing system created by Shane Lacy Hensley and published by Pinnacle Entertainment group. The game is designed to be fast paced and easy to use with any setting.
Deadlands Setting
Pinnacle has put out a few settings for Savage Worlds. There most popular setting is their Deadlands Setting. Which has been branded as the Weird West. Where characters are placed in an alternate timeline starting from July 4th 1863. In this setting magic and monsters roam the land of California this came about after the Reckoners brought them back to the land. The players play as gunslingers, sorcerers, or even mad scientists.
