The third entry in the Sega Rally series of rally racing games, only released in Japan and Korea.

Overview

Sega Rally 2006 is a rally racing game developed by Sega AM3 and published by Sega (Company) for the PlayStation 2 (Platform) exclusively in Japan and Korea on January 12, 2006. The third installment of the Sega Rally (Franchise) series and originally designed to celebrate the series' 10th anniversary, Sega Rally 2006 updates the graphics and gameplay for the PS2 while adding both an "Arcade" mode (including a four-race series similar to the original games) and a "Career" mode (where players tune their consumer cars into rally cars, earning additional money for upgrades through racing). It also features recreations of the cars and courses from the original Sega Rally Championship (Game). Unlike other entries in the series, Sega Rally 2006 did not get an arcade release nor a release for Western regions. It also included a bonus disc featuring a conversion of the arcade version of the original Sega Rally Championship (developed by M2 (Company), similar to their SEGA AGES 2500 (Franchise) series).
