Overview

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: Radical Rescue (JP: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: Turtles Kiki Ippatsu, EU: Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles III: Radical Rescue) is the third of three licensed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Franchise) games developed specifically for the Game Boy portable system. The game begins with every Turtle besides Michelangelo getting captured and Mikey, with the assistance of April O'Neil and Splinter, must locate and rescue them all. Unlike other TMNT games at the time, this game is a mix of Metroid (Game) exploration and Turtles side-scrolling martial arts combat. It features a mini-map that the player can consult to figure out where to go next, and by rescuing other members of the Turtles the player can use their unique abilities to expand the number of areas they can visit.
