A Japanese Mega Drive-exclusive baseball game from Sunsoft that was built to utilize the Sega Modem peripheral.
Overview
Tel Tel Stadium, or Tel-Tel Stadium, is a baseball game developed by Sunsoft for the Japanese Mega Drive. Like their earlier game Tel Tel Mahjong (Game), it was specifically designed to work with the Sega Mega Modem peripheral - the "Tel Tel" in the title being short for "telephone". Unlike other baseball games where the player assumes direct control of the batter or pitcher, the player instead plays a more managerial role with commands and strategies that the AI players follow to the best of their abilities. This was due to the impracticality of a real-time baseball game being played over a limited-baud modem connection.
