Texthoth Ludo: Arcanum Senki is a high-fantasy strategy board game developed by Falcon (Company) and published by Pai for the Sega Saturn exclusively in Japan on December 18, 1997. It later received a Sony PlayStation release on July 9, 1998, where it was re-titled Arcana Senki Ludo. Loosely based on the board game Ludo, Texthoth Ludo has players moving their character around the game board in order to be the first to land directly on the Goal Square, while using combat, summoned minions, and special card effects to send their opponents back to their starting positions. Rather than random dice rolls, players have a hand of cards from a unique deck, which can be played or merged with other cards to form special tarot cards (each with unique effects). The game's story is notable for being written and supervised by early Final Fantasy (Franchise) writer Kenji Terada (Person).
