The Ultimate 11: SNK Football Championship (known in Japan as Scoring King: Defender of Flame - SNK FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP) is a horizontal-scrolling soccer game developed and released by SNK for arcades (running Neo Geo MVS hardware) on October 16, 1996. It was later released for the Neo Geo AES on December 20, 1996.
It is the fourth and final installment of the Super Sidekicks (Franchise) series (and the sequel to Super Sidekicks 3: The Next Glory). It's known for replacing the regional tournament modes with a new SNK Football Championship mode (in which players must eliminate all other regions by defeating their chosen teams) and for its simplified teammate types (each with their own utility and difficulty). It also sports the most amount of teams in the series (with 81 total, one of which is a hidden opponent team for skilled players) and adds a new "excite gauge" system (which fills up as players maintain control of the ball) for powerful kicks.
