Overview
Tiny Toon Adventures: Toonenstein - Dare to Scare! is a 3D comedic horror adventure game developed by TerraGlyph and published by Vatical Entertainment (Swing! Entertainment in Europe) for the Sony PlayStation on November 2, 1999. Based on the WB cartoon series Tiny Toon Adventures and a successor to Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster and the Beanstalk, Toonenstein has Plucky Duck (Character) and Hamton J. Pig trapped in a haunted mansion and must escape before being part of Baroness von Toonenstein's experiments. Like Buster and the Beanstalk, the game involves moving between scenes and clicking on things to progress. However, this game plays more like a traditional point-and-click adventure game (rather than an "interactive storybook"), with players navigating between rooms of the pre-rendered 3D mansion and directly interacting with objects as the non-speaking Furrball (Character) (who is a pre-rendered 3D character and is never acknowledged by any other character). There are some mini-games, including a first-person turret-style sequence. Also like Buster and the Beanstalk, the game features the same 2D animated style and voice acting for some of its characters.
