Overview

Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam is the name of three skateboard racing games published by Activision (Company), all of which are spin-offs of Neversoft's Tony Hawk Pro Skater series:

The Nintendo DS (Platform) version was developed by Vicarious Visions, and was first released on October 24, 2006. This version uses the same cel-shaded graphics and gameplay from the DS version of Tony Hawks' American Sk8land.
The Game Boy Advance (Platform) version was developed by both Vicarious Visions and Visual Impact (Company), and was first released on November 7, 2006. It is the last game in the series to be released for that platform, and is the only one to use the series's standard behind-the-back perspective (as all other games in the series use an isometric perspective) with real-time polygonal 3D rendering.
The Wii (Platform) version was developed by Toys for Bob (Company), and was first released on November 19, 2006. This version makes use of motion controls, with players steering with the Wii Remote (Accessory) held sideways. It was later ported by SuperVillain Studios for the PlayStation 2 (Platform) on May 8, 2007.

Named after the "Downhill Jam" level from the original game in the series, Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam shifts the focus from free-skating in open areas to arcade-style downhill racing, somewhat similar to the SSX (Franchise) snowboarding series. It was released alongside the series's eighth main installment, Tony Hawk's Project 8.
