Wind of Luck: Arena is a massively multiplayer game set in an age of wooden ship naval warfare.

Overview

Wind of Luck is a free-to-play naval combat game set in the age of sail. Players participate in random battles and compete for a central objective while sinking enemy ships with a multitude of weaponry, including cannons and catapults. Gameplay elements include sim, action, RPG, and strategy.

Core Gameplay

The battle system consists of two three-player teams competing in a mixed death match / king-of-the-hill game, with no respawns allowed. The team who destroys all of the enemy team's ships or captures the treasure ship objective at the center of the map is the winner. Teams can include a variety of ships from the Asian, Mediterranean, and Caribbean historical eras. In each battle, players gain fame, expertise, and piasters based on the damage dealt and the number of treasure point captured from the treasure ship. Fame is used to unlock new, higher powered ships in from the tech tree. Expertise is used to unlock additional skills and capabilities for the specific ship used. Finally, piasters are the equivalent of "silver" or "credits" in other games, and are used to purchase new ships, equipment, ammunition, and cosmetic items such as flags.
