Shops and Stuff
Oedo Town is the very first area of Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon (Game). It's primarily the peaceful capital city of Japan until a spaceship appears and uses a strange beam to transform the Emperor's castle into an European styled castle. Goemon and Ebisumaru, who live in the area, head to investigate.
Landmarks
The town has a number of shops and houses, as well as the fortune teller Plasma Man. It also has the first dungeon of the game, Transformed Oedo Castle (Location). However, a number of bridges leading to the castle are down. The only way to get across is to acquire the Chain Pipe from Mt. Fuji. Goemon can use it like a grappling hook on star blocks to cross large gaps or attack enemies from a distance. Later on the in the game a strength trainer moves into Goemon's tenements and teaches the "Sudden Impact" skill. It allows Goemon to get a strength boost to move steel blocks and do double damage at the cost of taking double damage at the same time.
