The Castle
LOCATION
The site of Fort Independence, and former headquarters of the Minutemen militia in Boston.

Overview

The Castle is the site of what used to be known as Fort Independence, an old granite fortification for the British and later the United States. After the Great War of 2077, the site became "The Caste" when the Minutemen militia took over to make it their headquarters.

History

Before the Great War, the fort was named Fort Independence, a granite-built fortification that has it's origins dating back to the 17th century. After the war, the Minutemen purposed the site as their headquarters in The Commonwealth. Years later, the Minutemen were driven out and the area claimed by a colony of mirelurks.
