The Worlds of Balance and Ruin are the world of Final Fantasy VI (Game), before and after an apocalyptic event that occurs at the game's halfway point. Before the disaster, the world is one of balance; lush, green, and filled with life. After the cataclysm, however, the world becomes twisted and ruined; a barren wasteland where little is allowed to grow and where entire cities have been destroyed.
