A Power Up (Concept) found in Super Mario 64 (Game) and the Super Smash Bros. series. In Super Mario 64, jumping into the box from underneath will give you a metal cap which will transform Mario (Character) into metal, but in Smash Brothers you instantly become metal just by attacking the box. The Metal Box has also shown up in some games from the Mario Party series as a component in the mini-games.
