The Short Sword of Ykesha is a legendary weapon in the EverQuest franchise.
Overview
This iconic, curved short sword was once wielded by Warlord Ykesha, who was a powerful troll clan leader. After the Broken Skull clan overthrew Ykesha, this sword was lost until the Age of Turmoil where adventurers found it in the hands of the ghoul lord, the leader of the undead frogloks residing in the depths of Guk (Location) beneath the Innothule Swamp (Location).
EverQuest
In the original EverQuest (Game), the Short Sword of Ykesha is a rare drop from the ghoul lord in Lower Guk. It was one of the most sought-after weapons in the game for a long time due to its damage/delay ratio, the ability to dual wield or offhand it, its aggro-inducing stun proc (which was rare at the time), and of course for its iconic look. It was as much a status symbol as it was a good weapon.

EverQuest II
In EverQuest II (Game), the Short Sword of Ykesha is found through a heritage quest called The Rescue of the Green Hoods. The Green Hoods are an elite guild of wood elves who are attempting to protect the last remaining forests on the island of Zek, which has become a stronghold of the Deathfist Orcs. Saving the three members trapped in the Deathfist Citadel requires defeating Emperor Fyst, but the reward is the legendary sword.
