David Dunn

A writer, artist and composer who has worked on commercial video games since 1984 and is most notable for his work with Bungie, where he is currently an art department manager.


Overview

David Dunn was born in the Northeast U.S. and studied architecture at Virginia Tech, later going on to work for the architectural company Perkins & Will. In the mid-80s he composed the music for the games Nonterraqueous (Game) and Elite (Game), and was hired by Bungie Studios in 1997. The is credited as an artist, level modeller, level lighter, and writer on Oni (Game) which he worked on with Bungie West in San Jose before moving to Seattle to work with Bungie on the Halo (Franchise) franchise. He was an artist on Halo: Combat Evolved, acted as a lead environment artist on Halo 2 (Game), and was a campaign environment lead on Halo 3 (Game). He has also done minor voice work with Bungie and has a minor character within Halo 2 named after himself.
