Go Nagai
Kiyoshi Nagai (永井潔 Nagai Kiyoshi?, born September 6, 1945 in Wajima, Ishikawa), better known by the penname Go Nagai (永井 豪 Nagai Gō?), is a Japanese manga artist and a prolific author of science fiction, fantasy, horror, and erotica. He is considered the pioneer of the mecha genre.
He is credited with creating the Super Robot genre and for designing the first mecha robots, piloted by a user from within a cockpit, with the manga and anime franchise Mazinger Z (Object). His Mazinger Z (Object) and Getter Robo (Object) mechs have since appeared in virtually every Super Robot Wars game. In video games, he was the artist for the video game Earth Fighter Rayieza (Franchise) and its artwork, along with its NES port Ginga no Sannin (Game). He was also a designer for several other games, including Susanoō Densetsu, Mazin Saga: Mutant Fighter, and Cutey Honey FX (Game).
