Hisashi Suzuki
Japanese game director and producer for Sega and Square. One of Sega's first employees, he produced various electro-mechanical Sega arcade games during the 1960s to 1970s, before becoming an executive producer for many video games developed by Sega and Square during the 1980s to 2000s.
Career
He was employed by Sega in 1962, as one of its first employees. He produced various electro-mechanical arcadegames during the 1960s to 1970s, such as 1969's Duck Hunt and 1970's Jet Rocket (Game). In the 1980s, he went on to become an executive producer, for many video games developed by Sega, where he served as business director of the Sega AM2 division, while Yu Suzuki (Person) was head of development, up until the early 2000s. At the same time he also begun working for Squaresoft (Company), where he served as an executive producer for many Squaresoft games from the 1980s to the early 2000s, before it became Square Enixfollowing its merger with Enix. He was president of Squaresoft from 2002 to 2002, then served as a director at Square Enix from 2002 to 2005. He then left Square Enix and returned to Sega. As of 2012, he is a director at Sega.
