Kevin Keegan
Kevin Keegan is a former England player and manager, who has also played for and managed a number of club teams - including Newcastle United, Liverpool and Manchester City. He lent his name to the 1993 Super Nintendo football management sim 'Kevin Keegan's Player Manager'.
Kevin Keegan began his playing career at Scunthorpe United in 1968, and subsequently moved to Liverpool F.C. in 1971. Under manager Bill Shankley, the team went on to win three First Division titles, two U.E.F.A. Cups, two F.A. Cups and the European Cup. Keegan was first capped for the England national team in 1972, and went on to play for Hamburger F.C, Southampton and Newcastle United throughout the duration of his career. He was then appointed manager of Newcastle in 1992, and went on to manage Fulham, Manchester City and the English national team for a brief period. After returning to Newcastle in early 2008 he then resigned after less than a year in the job, following a dispute with the team's board of directors.
