Stefan Karl Stefansson
PERSON
An Icelandic actor who provided voice lines for For Honor, although his far more famous role is that of Robbie Rotten in the LazyTown series.

Overview

A theater actor by trade, Stefan Karl Stefansson rose to prominence upon being cast as Glanni Glæpur, the main antagonist of the children's musical Glanni Glæpur í Latabæ. Upon the musical's transition to television as LazyTown (Franchise), Stefansson was hired to reprise the role, now renamed to Robbie Rotten (Character). In 2016, Stefansson was diagnosed with cancer, with LazyTown's head writer launching a fundraising campaign to help pay for Stefansson's recovery. The campaign gained traction among the internet, headed by memes incorporating "We Are Number One", a song from LazyTown sung by Stefansson as Robbie Rotten. Perhaps as a result of the newfound attention, Stefansson was hired to his first and only direct video game role, providing the voice of the Berserker in For Honor (Game). In March 2018, Stefansson announced that his cancer had gone into remission. He passed away in August of the same year. In February 2019, For Honor was updated to introduce a free "signature" pose for the Berserker, honoring Stefansson. Entitled "Number One", the pose references a pose performed by Stefansson in the accompanying video for "We Are Number One", featuring a description stating "In Memoriam - To our Number One Villain".
