Tsutomu Kouno

PERSON

Best known for being the creator of LocoRoco.

Tsutomu Kouno had an interest in videogames ever since he was a child. When he was still in elementary school, he had his parents buy him a computer so he could create games using basic programming language.

After graduating college in 1987, his first job was with Sony Entertainment of America, where he did map planning on the PlayStation title, Legend of the Dragoon. He worked on PocketStation games and EyeToy software based on the Ape Escape franchise. He also went on to do some map planning on the PS2 title,ICO (Game).

LocoRoco (Game) was the first project that he was able to work on by himself, from beginning to end.
