Character Gets Big

CONCEPT

A character in the game actually increase in size. This may be a temporary or permanent transformation.

Mushroom from Super Mario Bros.

Character growth is perhaps best known from the Super Mario (Franchise) franchise, where the name itself refers to the state of the main character when in his grown size. One of the many collectable 'power-ups' of the Mario series, the mushroom traditionally causes Mario to obtain this status, whereby he is afforded one extra hit point before death. In later series, such as New Super Mario Bros. (Franchise), a new Mushroom allows Mario to grow to even greater size, and destroys anything in his path while taking no damage. In other games, growth is used to establish an increase in experience, points, or other such acquisitions.
