Overview
Some first-person shooters may include weapon bob to give the player the sense that they are actually a moving person, rather than a floating gun. Many early first-person shooters, such as Wolfenstein 3D (Game) had no weapon bob and it wasn't until the popularity of Doom (Game) that the weapon bob became much more pronounced.
